

Ednah M. Evetts, age 89, of Butte, Montana formerly of Temple died Saturday, June 19, 2010 in Butte. Services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, June 24 at Heights Baptist Church with Rev. Jakie Shirley officiating. Burial will follow at Bellwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 PM Wednesday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home. Mrs. Evetts was born on July 19, 1920 in Oglesby to William Lee and Rozella (Daniell) Cluck. She married Travis Evetts on March 3, 1940 in Cayote. They lived in Waco before moving to Temple in 1946. Mr. Evetts preceded her in death on December 3, 1984. She worked for Felt Manufacturers, Bell Ice Cream, Temple ISD and Temple V. A. Hospital before retiring in 1982. She moved to Butte in 1994. She was a charter member of Heights Baptist Church in Temple. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her son, Rev. David Evetts, a granddaughter, Sheila Burgess of Deer Lodge and seven brothers and sisters. Survivors include two daughters, Joyce Hendrickson and husband, Walter of Butte, Doris Wallace and husband, David of Orlando, Florida, five grandchildren, Debbie Copeland and husband, Glenn of Carbon, Denise Blake and husband, Robin of Odessa, Dana Reed and husband, David of Waco, Travis Hendrickson and wife, Renee and Brian Hendrickson and wife, Jammie all of Butte, 14 great-grandchildren and four great great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Johnnie Tibbs and husband, Connally of Abilene, Frankie Bohne and husband, Fred of Waco, daughter-in-law, Donna Evetts of Waco, brother-in-law, Wayne Watts and wife, Johnny of Whitney and sister-in-law, Rhuey Cluck of Round Rock. Memorial donations may be made to Heights Baptist Church of Temple or Highlands Hospice of Butte.
