Ellen Jean Johnston

Ellen Jean Johnston, age 59, of Temple died Tuesday, June 1, 2010 in a local hospital. Services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, June 5th at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home with Dr. Martin Knox officiating. Burial will follow at Bellwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 PM Friday, June 4th at the funeral home. Mrs. Johnston was born on January 16, 1951 in Temple to C. T. and Jean (Lancaster) Sumrall. She graduated from Temple High School in 1969. She married Chris Johnston on September 18, 1970. She worked at Scott & White OB/GYN Clinic for the past 39 years. She was a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother. Survivors include her husband, Chris Johnston of Temple, one son, Mark C. Johnston of Temple, one granddaughter, Savannah Rose Johnston and a sister, Janet Gravelin and husband, Doug of Cedar Park. Also surviving are her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Harlen C. and Dorothy Nell Johnston of Temple. Pallbearers are Bryan Lincycomb, Jason Campbell, Kenny Stone, Austin Mays, Russell Black II and Cody Henderson.
