Thanks for your warmth and kindness, Fay. You and Dave took me in after the fire and were gracious about having me around. Before and after that, y'all we just the nicest folks. God bless you, Fay and God stand beside you, Dave.

Fay was a bright light on the face of the planet. I consider myself fortunate to have crossed paths with her in this life. To Dave and Tanis, I share in your grief.

What a wonderful woman we have lost. Have know Fay since childhood in Galveston. I am enriched for having her in my life.  My thoughts and prayers are with all of you in this time of loss and reflection.  Robert joins me in these thoughts.  Much love.

I feel such sadness on hearing that Fay is gone.  I too was in that neighborhood with Wendy and Dana and spent many happy hours with Fay and at the Evans' home. We pitched a tent in her backyard and worked on our girl scout badges ( her mom was our leader) and sat on the floor of her living room and traded stamps with Mr. Evans--a real trip.  Her home was welcome and fun and I have nothing but wonderful memories. She is a dear soul. I think about the Evans family often--all of you--and how sweet it was to know you. Precious precious Miss Smarty Pants, you will be greatly missed on the physical plane!  I am glad you are out of pain and into the Light!  Help us from that side to do what we ought to carry the humour you so embodied in your own life, so that we can meet our challenges with the grace and determination you did! To Fae's loving family, my heart is broken over the loss of the most joyous friendship I have ever had.  Fae and I were paralegals, or,as Fae put it, "a pair of eagles" together at Mill, Shirley, and remained friends ever since.  All we ever did was laugh. We obtained many unobtainable dinner reservations on our trips to Santa Fe by making the reservations under "Dunaway."  Fay always looked like Fay Dunaway, especially when she wore her black headband. It always worked.  I'll never have another friend who brings as much laughter and joy to my life as Fay did. She was a beautiful human being. I wish her family peace.

Fay and I were friends from childhood. Her family was my family. Our grandparents were friends, our parents were friends. She was the sister who told me what to wear and what to do with my hair. She encouraged me to be better than I wanted to. I trusted everything she told me. We wanted to live and play until we were 104, but that didn't happen. The best we can do now is to play in spirit.

Like Dana, Fay and I were fast friends, as kids in the neighborhood, during school and a little later in Galveston, when we played the roles of Phila and Rhoda , the Dendron sisters, when we worked at the Id Boutique. A few years later we were roommates in Houston, attending art openings every weekend. Our lives took different paths  for a few years but we always rekindled our friendship and never missed a beat. in past decade, we have emailed one another daily,with  news, jokes, recipes, politics, jewelry designs, and everything else.  I will miss my pal, mentor, collector friend and jewelry co-designer more ways than can be explained. My love and prayers to  Dave, to Tanis and Wiley and the rest of the family.
