Fern Elizabeth Amonson

Fern Elizabeth Stiles Amonson Fern Elizabeth Stiles Amonson, 97 of Belton went to sleep in the Lord Wednesday January 6, 2010 in a local hospital. Services for Mrs. Amonson will be held at 2:30 PM Saturday January 9, 2010 at the Scanio-Harper Funeral Home in Temple with Pastor Vitali Prolinski officiating. Burial will follow at Bellwood Memorial Park. Mrs. Amonson was born September 3, 1912 in Springfield, Ohio the daughter of Benjamin and Eva Baker Johnson. She married the love of her life, Charles Vernon Stiles on April 18, 1934. She was a member of the Killeen Seventh-day Adventist Church. After Charles' death she married Edgar O. Amonson and lived in Gladstone, Oregon for twenty years before coming to live with her daughter for the last ten years of her life. She was preceded in death by her two husbands Charles and Edgar and two siblings Charles Johnson and Mary Grey. Survivors include her children Ben Stiles of Arkansas, Sonya Jutzy of Temple and Darla Phelps of California. Survivors also include grandchildren: Benita Smith, Tim Stiles, Elizabeth Christeans, Christie Horner, A.J. Stiles, Benson Stiles, Terry Sturtevant, Christopher Shepard, and Joyce Portela, Sandy Werner and eighteen great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Three Angels Broadcasting Network (3ABN) P.O, Box 220, West Frankfort, Illinois 62896 and Christian Record Services for the blind, Box 6097 Lincoln, NE 68506-0097 and the Killeen Seventh-day Adventist Church.
