Gaylon J. Fojtasek

Gaylon J. Fojtasek, age 44, formerly of Temple died Wednesday, March 25, 2009 in a Rockwall hospital. Services will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, March 28, at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 PM Friday at the funeral home. Gaylon was born January 18, 1965 in Temple to Johnnie Lee and Adella Margaret (Sula) Fojtasek. He graduated from Temple High School in 1983. He had an undergraduate degree from Wayland Baptist University in Plainview and his master's degree from Oklahoma University. He was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force. He had a great love for our Lord through reading his Bible daily. He also loved his family, the simple outdoor life and music. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include a brother, Darrell Fojtasek and wife, Dolores of Kyle, two sisters, Jan Skala and husband, Henry of Temple and Shirley Stanley and husband, Kevin of Heath. He is also survived by his former wife, Jeanette O'Keefe of New York, stepson, Aaron Miranda of California, his two precious dogs, Sadie and Marty and numerous nieces and nephews. Honorary pallbearers are Jerry Proctor, Terry Malcik, Randy Pavlica, Paul Michalik, Steve Fuller and Ivan Weaver.
