

Gloria JoNell Anderson Fuchs went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, April 4, 2016. A visitation will be held 5:00 – 7:00 PM Thursday, April 7th at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home. Her service will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, April 8th at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Temple with Pastors Dana Wilhelmsen, Wilbern Michalk and Grayson Albers officiating. A second service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday at Palm Valley Lutheran Church in Round Rock. Gloria was born December 9, 1932 in Austin to Martin Eric and Erna Alma Meier Anderson. She graduated from Round Rock High School in 1950. On December 6, 1953, she married Floyd Orben Fuchs. They had two daughters, Linda and Susan. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a bachelor’s of science degree in 1956. She taught home economics at Round Rock High School and Evant High School. In 1963, her family moved to Temple. She was a licensed dietitian at Santa Fe Memorial Hospital and later at King’s Daughters Hospital. She also consulted for a variety of nursing homes and hospitals in the area and worked at family businesses on weekends. Gloria was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Temple and volunteered with the Lutheran Braille Ministries producing Bibles, devotionals and song books for people world wide. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Susan Caryl Fuchs. Survivors include her husband, Floyd Fuchs and daughter, Linda Fuchs. Memorial donations may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Food Pantry at 2109 W. Avenue H., Temple, TX 76504.
