
Hugh Brian Boston, age 50, of Temple died Tuesday, April 3, 2012. Services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, April 10, at St. Luke Catholic Church with Deacon Jerry Klement officiating. Burial will follow at Bellwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be 5:00 - 7:00 PM Monday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home. Mr. Boston was born May 2, 1961 in Temple to Alton (A.C.) Boston and Nancy Kristinek Boston. He graduated from Temple High School in 1980 and attended TSTI in Waco, Temple College and Texas A&M. He was operations manager and part owner of the country and western club, Cactus Canyon, in Temple, where he designed the entire operation, including the light show and developed the music venue. He was involved in the family owned business, Boston Properties, and was instrumental in the development of Woodland Trails II, Interstate Business Center and FM 2305 commercial complex. He served as Republican Party Precinct Chairman and Election Judge for Precinct 104 and attended precinct, county and state conventions. He was named a Paul Harris Fellow. Brian was well known for his willingness to always help friends, neighbors and all who asked for his assistance. Above all he was most proud of his two daughters, Chelsea and Allison, whom he loved very much. Survivors include his daughters, Chelsea Marie Boston and Allison Nicole Boston; his parents, Alton (A.C.) Boston and Nancy Kristinek Boston; his brother, Sam Boston; his sister, Dianne Ruth Boston; his grandmother, Miladie Bartek Kristinek and one uncle, Frank Kristinek and wife, Sheree of Temple and three aunts, Carol Kristinek Walton of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, Gloria English and husband, Jack of Houston and Patsy Bell of Lake Buchanan. Pallbearers are Alton P. Boston, Gus Caballero, Frank Kristinek, Justin Miller, Tom Prado and Jon Wigham.
