James Patrick Wilson, DPM

Memorial services for James Patrick Wilson, DPM, 57 of Temple will be held at 7:00 P.M. Thursday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home with Rev. Derrel Thompson officiating.  Dr. Wilson died Tuesday at his residence. Dr. Wilson was born October 11, 1959 in Memphis, Tennessee to James L. Wilson, Jr. and Maxine McDowell Wilson.  He graduated from Memphis Preparatory Academy and received a Bachelor of Science degree from Memphis State University.  He was awarded a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine Degree from the California College of Podiatric Medicine.  He was double board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Orthopedics and Primary Podiatric Medicine.  He practiced in Arizona until he moved to Temple in 2010. Dr. Wilson was preceded in death by his father, James L. Wilson, Jr. Survivors include his son, James Patrick Wilson, II; his daughter Jordan Elise Wilson, his mother Maxine M. Wilson;  his sister Beverly W. Sawyer and her husband Richard; two nephews Mark Sawyer and his wife Elissa and Blake Sawyer and his wife Samantha. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Thursday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home.
