Jan Elizabeth Westmoreland Fitte

Jan Elizabeth Westmoreland-Fitte Born: 7-25-1949 in Corpus Christi, TX to parents Aileen Dryer-Westmoreland and Forrest Westmoreland Deceased: 6-7-2010 in Belton (Morgan's Point Resort), TX Her husband Hanson E. Fitte; son Jarod E. Fitte and wife Amanda Fitte of TX; brother Van D. Westmoreland and wife Cheryl Westmoreland of HI; and sister Kay E. Tolbert and husband Randy Tolbert of UT survived Jan. Nieces and Nephews: Janet Bradley, Chris Falk, Tiffany Hancock, Tessa Schroeder, and Tania Moosman. Jan graduated from Mary Carroll High School in Corpus Christi, in 1967 and from Del Mar College with her Associates degree in 1969. She then went on to attend The University of Texas from 1969 until 1970. She held a multitude of jobs throughout the earlier years of her adult life, but selflessly gave up her career ambitions in 1986 to stay at home and raise her and her husband's son. Jan was a very intelligent, outgoing person with a very giving and genuine heart. Her priorities always lied in the needs and desires of others. She was not without interests however. A few of her many passions included deer hunting, fishing and rowing through the gears of whatever fast car she could pilot. Jan was also a devout Christian, accepting Christ as her personal Lord and Savior in 1980. Her love for the Lord and passion for life was an example to emulate for those with whom she came into contact with. No doubt she is celebrating her gift of eternal life with her creator at this very moment. It is with great sadness that we announce her passing. But it is with equal joy that we anticipate a Heavenly reunion based on God's perfect timing.
