Jesse William Melton, Jr., 71, of Temple died Nov. 29, 2016 in a local hospital. No services are planned at this time. Mr. Melton was born January 17, 1945 in St. Louis, Missouri to Jesse William Melton, Sr. and Marie Doty Melton. He moved to Temple, from Florida this year. He worked as a machinist. Survivors include his son Robert Melton of St. Joe, Missouri; his daughter Kimberly Wentz of Granite City, Illinois, one sister Elaine Moore of Piedmont, Missouri; two step sons David Hejl of St. Geneive, Missouri and Kevin Moore of Robertsville, Missouri. Scanio-Harper Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
