A visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 12th at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home in Temple from 6 pm-8 pm followed by a grave side service Thursday, June 13th at 10 am at Val Verde Cemetery, 1058 FM 2268, Holland, Texas.
Jessie was born August 20th, 1934 in Drew, MS. to Jesse and Vallie Skinner. She grew up on a 55-acre cotton farm during the Great Depression where she spent her days helping on the farm. In 1960, Jessie married the love of her life, Bill Liles, who passed in 1998. Jessie was a long-time member of Heights Baptist Church of Temple and a nursing assistant for The Meridian and for Home Health.
Jessie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill Liles and by a son, Greg Tiffin.
She is survived by a daughter, Valerie Johnston; a son, Billy Liles; 6 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.
