Joe Palomino, Jr.

Joe “ Joey” Palomino, Jr. was born May 28, 1956 in Temple, Texas to Joe Palomino, Sr. and Juanita H. Palomino.Joe became a professional musician at the young age of 6, playing with his Uncle’s band Mike and the Royal Tones. He continued his musical career playing with various bands such as Ruben Ramos, Little Joe, Jaz-zil, True Kings, Street People, Beyond Therapy, and in January recorded the album, Por Primera Vez, with Gilbert Alba and the Super City Band. Joe’s greatest delight in the last few years was playing for His Heavenly Father in the First Baptist Church of Temple’s Praise Team.Joe is survived by his wife, Bernadette “Bunnie” Palomino, his children Delilah Barraza, Joe Palomino, III, Melissa Palomino, and Pate Palomino, his sister, Dalila Palomino and a brother Chris Palomino and his loving father Joe Palomino, Sr. and three grandchildren. He was proceeded in death by his mother, Juanita H. Palomino, sister, Cynthia, and many loving Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. Services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, March 21st at First Baptist Church in Temple with Dr. Ronny Marriott and Rev. Gary Anthony officiating.  Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.  Visitation will be held 2:00 – 4:00 PM Sunday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home.The family requests that donations be made to the First Baptist Church of Temple Building Fund in lieu of flowers.
