John Dodds, age 88, of Temple, Texas passed away on Friday, September 3, 2021. He was born on January 1, 1933 in Pennsylvania, the son of John and Margaret Dodds. John married Adel in November 1957.

A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at 11:00 am at Scanio-Harper Funeral home 3110 Airport Rd. Temple, Texas 76504.A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery 11463 TX-195 Killeen, Texas 76542.

John served his country in the United States Army and was a career serviceman.

He is survived by his wife Adel Dodds, children; Jeannette Rogers and husband Michael of Texas, Helen Martin of Colorado, John Dodds and wife Ana Maria of California, and Sherry Griffin and husband Dan of Wyoming, 4 grandchildren; Michael Ray, Chase, Chance, and Jennifer; and 3 great-grandchildren Christian, Joshua, and Coi.

John was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a sister.
