After retirement, he discovered a new passion—purchasing a dump truck and hauling for local farmers, a role he greatly enjoyed and took pride in. Known for his friendly nature and strong work ethic, he was fondly called “Butch” by his friends and “Hawk” by his coworkers.
Julian was also an avid blood donor for more than 20 years, receiving numerous awards and recognitions for his dedication to the cause and his commitment to helping others.
To his grandchildren, Julian was lovingly known as “Pawpaw,” a title he cherished. Julian “Pawpaw” also loved to watch his grandkids compete in all events and could always be found sitting front row at every ball game at Rogers ISD, proudly cheering them on.
He is survived by his loving family, including sons, Ray Hawkins and wife Elisha of Rogers, and Farrell “Buddy” Tircuit and wife Beth of Trenton; daughter-in-law, Sheila Tircuit; and numerous grandchildren: Alaina Mungia, Ava Mungia, Aiden Mungia, and Beckham Hawkins, all of Rogers; Farrah Tircuit of Sachse; Blake Winslow and wife, Becca, of Celeste; Jennifer Smith and husband Chris of Moody; and Miranda and Jacob Tircuit of Rogers. He is also survived by many cherished great-grandchildren: Brantley Tircuit, Shep Tircuit, Kendal Salazar, Harper Marshall, Channing Marshall, Bennett Winslow, Paxton Winslow, and Tyler Grant.
Julian is also survived by his four sisters: Betty Lemley of Deer Park, Texas; Deborah Wright of Lufkin, Texas; Barbara Vansa of Goldthwaite, Texas; and Carroll June Bell of Hockley, Texas.
