Kathleen Regina Griffin Burns, formerly of Lampasas, was born in Cheyenne, Wyoming on September 5, 1923. She passed away in Temple on Wednesday, July 29, 2015. As a child she lived in Denver, Colorado; Lexington, Kentucky; and El Paso, Texas. During her teens she settled permanently in Ft. Worth, Texas. After her marriage she and her husband moved to Dallas, Tx where she became a medical illustrator. She was also a feature writer for the Dallas Times Herald. In 1976 she and her family moved to Central Texas. She is preceded in death by her husband Paul E. Burns, Jr. and her son Paul E. Burns III. She is survived by her sons Jeb Burns of Gholson, Texas, Jim Burns of Temple, and daughter Keb Burns of Temple. She has two grandsons and three granddaughters. Visitation and Rosary will be at 9:00 a.m. followed by the funeral at 10:00 a.m., on Wednesday, August 5, at Christ the King Catholic Church in Belton followed by an interment at Killeen City Cemetery in Killeen, TX.
