Kenneth C. Baker of Temple died Wednesday in a Round Rock Hospice Facility. Private family services are planned for a later date. Mr. Baker was born in Weir to Kerney Curtis Baker and Isla Keeling Baker. He moved to Temple and attended Temple High School where he played football earning All State End recognition. He graduated from Temple High School and then played football for the University of Texas from where he also graduated. He served in the Air Force during World War II. He operated the Sampler Dress Shop in Temple. He moved to Dallas for 32 years before returning to Temple recently. Survivors include his former wife Midge Baker of Temple three sons Steven Baker and his wife Kimberly of Plano, Scott Baker and Michael Baker both of Cedar Park and four grandchildren Cori Baker, Tessa Baker, Isabella Baker and Micah Baker. Scanio-Harper Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
