
Memorial services for L.A. (Bud) DeMasters, 81, of Temple will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday June 3, 2008 at First Baptist Church in Temple with Rev. Martin Knox officiating. Mr. DeMasters died Sunday May 25, 2008 in a Temple Hospital. Mr. DeMasters was born in Ranger to Andrew Amos DeMasters and Clara Ella Johnson DeMasters on October 5, 1926. He married Yvonne Crocker January 15, 1944. He worked for Mid America Pipeline Company, which later became Seminole Pipeline. He moved to Temple 2 1/2 years ago from Meadow Lakes at Marble Falls. He was an avid golfer, wonderful husband and proud father. He was preceded in death by one son Rodney Allen DeMasters in 2001; two brothers Marvin DeMasters and Earl DeMasters; two sisters Myrtha Danner and his twin sister Lois Morand; nieces Peggy DeMasters and Jean DeMasters; and nephew Jimmy Danner. Survivors include his wife Yvonne DeMasters of Temple; one son Kenneth Dale DeMasters and his wife Rhayma of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; daughter-in-law Sharon Hinnant of San Antonio; grandchildren Carmi Scheller and her husband Brian of Norman, Oklahoma, Randy DeMasters and his wife Stephanie of Coppell, Donald Bud DeMasters and his wife Melissa of Laytonsville, Maryland, Charnell DeMasters of San Antonio and Ross Tripp of Edmond, Oklahoma; great-grandchildren Andrew Scheller, Tess Scheller, Olivia DeMasters, Alex DeMasters and Lleyton DeMasters; nieces Paula Brewer and her husband Bill of Houston, Sharon Danner of Glen Rose, Kris Whilti and her husband Jack of Jacksonville, Florida, Barbara and her husband Maurice of Fort Worth; nephews Bobby Morand and his wife Maggie of Melborn, Florida and Bill Danner and his wife Laura of Florida; great niece Leesa McClure and her husband Mark of Odessa and great nephew Nick Brewer of Houston.
