Lorraine Head Brown, age 99, of Temple died Friday, January 12, 2007 in Temple. Services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, January 15, in the Floca Pavilion at Hillcrest Cemetery with Minister Darrell Knight officiating. Visitation will be 3 5 PM Sunday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home. Mrs. Brown was born September 24, 1907 in Bluff Dale, Texas to James Alfred and Lucy Norman Head. She had been a resident of Temple since 1929. She was a homemaker and interior decorator and owned and operated a gift shop in Temple for many years. She was a member of Northside Church of Christ and various clubs including the City Federation and Senate Ladies Club. She was preceded in death by husbands, Otis L. Vaden in 1944 and Buster Brown in 1978, also her parents, two brothers, one sister, two grandsons and a stepson. Survivors include one son, Jim Vaden and wife Nan of Temple, brother, Truman Head and wife, Tena of Temple, sister, Lois Bean of Wichita Falls, two grandchildren, four great grandchildren, step daughter, Sue Joyce and husband Jim, five step grandchildren and one step great grandson.
