Louise Cox

Funeral services for Louise L. Cox, 66, of Temple will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday at Scanio Harper Funeral Home with Rev. Hubert Austin officiating. Burial will be in Bellwood Memorial Park. Mrs. Cox died Monday January 15, 2007 at her residence. Mrs. Cox was born in Coleman to Odean H. Lancaster and Anne B. Smith Lancaster. She moved to Temple forty eight years ago. She married John Allen Cox April 13, 1963. He preceded her in death April 24, 2001. She was a Professional Secretary and an Administrative Assistant to the President of Temple College and she was the Secretary to the Temple College Board of Trustees. She retired with over forty four years of service to Temple College. She was a member of Professional Secretary's International and was a member of First United Methodist Church. Survivors include her son James Allen Cox and his wife Kathryn of Cedar Park, her daughter Anne Harmon and her husband Randy of Benbrook; two brothers Tommy Lancaster and his wife Charlotte of Winters and Charles Lancaster and his wife Mildred of Wimberley and one sister Louann Young of Conroe; four grandchildren Katie Harmon, Faith Cox, Grace Cox and Charity Cox. Memorials may be made to Temple College Foundation Louise Cox Memorial Scholaship. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Thursday at Scanio Harper Funeral Home.
