Lucilla Cerda

Funeral services for Lucilla "Judy" Cerda, 47, of Temple will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday September 18, 2010 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Tom Chamberlain officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Mrs. Cerda died Tuesday, September 14, 2010 in a Temple hospital. Mrs. Cerda was born on May 10, 1963 in Big Spring, TX to the late Mariano and Guadalupe (Garza) Granados, Sr. She attended Temple schools and married Juan Cerda, Sr. on December 18, 1982 in Belton, TX. She was a caregiver in Temple and was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister & grandmother who loved all of her family dearly. Lucilla was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by a sister, Antonia Gomez. Survivors include her husband of 27 years, Juan Cerda, Sr. of Temple; two daughters, Shannon and Amanda Cerda of Temple; a son, Juan Cerda, Jr., of Temple; 5 sisters, Guadalupe Davis of Holland, Dominga Muro, Maria Martinez and Mary Ann Tate, all of Temple and Mary Carmen Garcia of Little River; three brothers, Mariano Granados, Jr., Hector Granados and Ernie Granados, all of Big Spring and one grandchild, Jayden Magana. Memorials may be made to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 707 S. 6th Street, Temple, TX 76504. Visitation with the family will be from 6-7:00 p.m. Friday, September 17, 2010 and rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Friday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home.
