Mack Allen Elliott

Mack Allen Elliott, age 77 of Temple, died Thursday, December 19, 2019 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 10:30am Saturday, December 21, 2019 at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home with Rev. Ranjan Cletus officiating. A rosary will be recited at 5:30pm Friday, December 20, 2019 at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home and the family will receive visitors from 6-8:00pm following the rosary.

Mr. Elliott was born on March 29, 1942 in Temple, Texas to the late Clifton Elliott and Clara Messer Elliott. He attended schools in Temple and graduated from Temple High School in 1960. He married Frances Buxkemper in 1987. Mack worked for E.R. Carpenter for many years. He loved the outdoors, especially deer hunting and fishing, camping at Cedar Ridge Park. He also loved his time with his grandkids, and loved all kids in general. Mack was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and three sisters.

Survivors include his loving wife, Frances Elliott of Temple; a daughter, Karla Hedrick of Temple; sons, Neil Elliott of Temple, Stephen Autrey of Nacogdoches, Joel Dutton and Randy Dutton of Temple; and twelve grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Memorials may be given in Mr. Elliott’s name to St. Mary Catholic Church Building Fund, 1018 S.7th Street, Temple, Texas 76504.
