Margaret Lucille Bell Butler

Margaret Lucille (Bell) Butler, age 85, of Russellville, Arkansas, formerly of Temple, died on Thursday, April 15, 2010 in a Russellville nursing center. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, April 21, at Bellwood Memorial Park with Dr. Jack Riley officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 - 7:30 PM Tuesday, April 20, at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home. Mrs. Butler was born on June 19, 1924 in Grenada, Mississippi. She was the youngest of eight children. She married John Howard Butler on December 4, 1943. She was a lifelong homemaker and was an avid reader and enjoyed sewing, needlepoint and crocheting. She was a former member of First United Methodist Church in Russellville, Oak Park United Methodist Church in Temple, First United Methodist Church in Grenada and Tobin Park Methodist Church in El Paso. She was preceded in death by her husband on April 28, 1999 and one son, John Howard Butler II in February, 2001. Survivors include a son, Jeffrey Ray Butler of Russellville, four grandchildren, Jeffrey R. Butler II of Mobile, Alabama, Michelle Butler Wilson of Wichita Falls, Texas, Richard Alan Butler and Emily Elizabeth Butler both of Conway, Arkansas and five great-grandchildren, Joshua Butler, Carlie Smith, Jacelyn Butler, John D. Wilson and Taegan Wilson.
