Martha Morris

Memorial services for Martha Mae Morris, 61, of Morgan's Point Resort will be held at Little River United Methodist Church at 12 Noon Saturday March 10, 2007 with Rev. Brent Boatwright officiating. Mrs. Morris died Wednesday March 7, 2007 in a Temple hospital. Mrs. Morris was born in Little River to Alton Honeycutt and Charlie Mae Cain Honeycutt. She graduated from Academy School and she married Jerry Morris August 16, 1966. She lived in California for thirty five years before moving back to Little River five years ago. She was a Medical Assistant for several Doctors in California. She worked as City Secretary for the City of Little River Academy. She formed the "For The Love Of Our Children" organization. She was preceded in death by one son Charlie Morris Feb. 23, 2000. Survivors include her husband Jerry Morris of Morgan's Point Resort, two daughters Suzanne Garcia of Little River-Academy and Tammy O'Flaherty of Little River-Academy; one sister Pat Reeves of Little River-Academy and four grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Academy Schools Athletic Department. Visitation will be from 5:30 to 7:30 P.M. Friday at Scanio Harper Funeral Home.
