Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, October 23, 2025, at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home in Temple. The family will receive visitors from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home.
Martha was born on August 30, 1947, in Moffat, Texas, to Joseph L. Harmon, Sr. and Bertha Mae (Weaver) Harmon. She was raised in Moffat and later lived in Temple, Texas; Cherry Point, North Carolina; and finally settled in Eddy, Texas. Martha attended Moffat Elementary and later Belton Middle School and Belton High School. She was baptized on September 3, 1961, and a member of Moffat Baptist Church.
On November 1, 1965, Martha married Bobby Tomme, and together they shared a loving marriage until his passing on June 26, 2022.
Martha had a joyful spirit and a love for life. She enjoyed bingo, shopping, bunco, sewing, and spending time relaxing on her porch. Her warmth and laughter touched everyone she met, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bobby Tomme; her brothers Deward Harmon and Atlee Harmon; her half siblings Dorothy Matzig, Thetis Cota, and Daylon Harmon; and her grandson Jacob Logan.
Martha is survived by her sons, James Tomme and wife Bethany, and Greg Tomme; her sisters Esperance Crocker, Loleta Wolbrueck, Vivian Elliott and husband Marvin, and Melinda Murray and husband Dan; her brothers Joe Harmon Jr. and wife Dora, Lynn Harmon, and Roy Harmon and wife Yvonne; her grandchildren Bobby James Tomme, Zander Raines, and Gavin Raines, and Lynzi Martin and husband Sam; and her great-grandchildren Mailie, Mollie, and Magnolia.
Serving as pallbearers will be Dudley Davis, Bryan Hager, Michael Tyler, Gavin Raines, Zander Raines, and Wes Bass. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Roy Harmon, Joe Harmon Jr., Marvin Elliott, Kevin Harmon, Lynn Harmon, and Dan Murray.
