Michael James Kumm

Micheal James Kumm, better known as "Big Mike" to his friends and coworkers in Texas, passed away Thursday, February 1, 2018. He is survived by his wife Marsha Aufleger-Kumm of Temple,Tx, daughter Mikki Grover of Wichita Falls, TX. and son Matt Manning of Mesa, Arizona; grandchildren, Austin and Ashley and great grandchildren Aden and Mariah. He is also survived by his parents, Milford and Hattie Kumm of Osmond, Nebraska; sister Denise and husband Steve of Columbus, Nebraska, sister Jullene and husband Kirk of Osmond, Nebraska and brother Mark and wife Joan, also of Osmond, Nebraska and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister Lori Erwin. Mike married Marsha November 11, 1989 in Las Vegas, Nevada and were married for 28 great years. Mike was born on January 16, 1964 in Osmond, Nebraska to Milford and Hattie Scholte Kumm. Mike was a self-employed flooring contractor. His hobbies included watching his beloved Nebraska Cornhuskers, camping and all things to do with the lake, but mostly spending time with his best friend, wife Marsha. He would also usually drink a Coors Light with you and never had a frown on his face and was uplifting to everyone around him. Funeral services will be held at a later date in Nebraska. The family will receive visitors from 4-6:00pm Sunday, February 4, 2018 at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home.
