Mr. Vail passed away Thursday at his residence.
Mr. Vail was born March 8, 1946 in Monticello, Illinois to Walter Vail and Naomi Wheeler Vail. He graduated from Quincy College. He married Maria Contreras in June, 2002. He was a minister and also worked in construction. He was a member of Crossroads Church. He moved to Temple from El Paso ten years ago.
Survivors include his wife Maria Sandra Vail of Temple; two sons Michael Chapman Vail and his wife Debra Vail of Buda and Christopher Chapman Vail and his wife Jeni of Marble Falls; two daughters Sharon Joan Dean and her husband Michael of New Mexico and Lisa Michelle Vail of Illinois; two brothers Roger Vail and his wife Anita of New Mexico and Gary Vail of Ecuador; one sister Anita Hatcher and her husband John of Louisiana; seventeen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM Monday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home.
