Mildred Louise Houston, age 84, of Temple, TX passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2015 at a local hospital. She was born on February 8, 1931 in Falls County to Jefferson D. and Selma (Patzke) Good. She was a graduate of Lott High School and Hillcrest Memorial School of Nursing in Waco. She married Charles W. Houston November 8, 1952 in Marlin, TX. Mildred worked as a RN at Marlin VA and Temple VA she also worked part-time at the Charcoal Drive Inn and volunteered for Meals on Wheels. She is preceded in death by her husband Charles, her parents, and a son Kirby. Mildred is survived by 2 sons Brett Houston and Charles Houston, Jr, three grandchildren; Trevor Houston, Travis Houston, and Tyler Houston, and several great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home 3110 Airport Rd Temple, TX 76504 followed by an interment at Bellwood Memorial Park in Temple.
