Kent is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Janice Lynn, his son Bradley, his mother Delores, his stepfather Glenn Muckleroy, his brother Jackie (and wife Linda), step-brother Jim Muckleroy (and wife Pat) and step-sisters Vonda Wilkinson (and husband Larry), and Frances Davis (and husband Nathan). Kent was preceded in death by his father Edison Grant Bell in 1996. Kent graduated from Lampasas High School in 1969 and soon afterwards commenced his employment with the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad. He retired in 2004 after 33 years of service with the Railroad where he made many loyal life-long friends. Kent was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers, Division 206. He was owner of Temple storage company, Bell Storage. He was a deacon at Izoro Primitive Baptist Church. Kent will be sadly missed by his family and his many friends and former colleagues, so many of whom kindly visited and assisted Kent and Janice during his illness. Kent was strong and courageous to the end. Throughout the duration of his illness Kent was always more concerned about the well-being of those around him and never failed to cheer everyone, including the wonderful medical staff at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, with his good humor and radiant smile.
