Patricia Maye Cole was born July, 11th 1928 in Johnson City, New York to Hubert Leo Cole and Jessie Olive Sanders and died February 9th 2010 at a local hospital, surrounded by her family. An advocate of the arts at Temple College she attended all of their concerts and enjoyed music immensely. Grandma Pat, as she was fondly referred to, swam 1,000 meters twice a week at Sammons Community Center. She was a member of the Quilting Guild and Pioneers of Temple. Pat acquired many friends in her life through her work as a registered nurse in the cardiac ICU division at Scott & White and seemed to "adopt" anyone as her extended Grandchild. She retired from Lourdes Hospital in Binghamton, New York after 20 years of service and retired from Scott and White after 16 years. Pat believed in giving back to her community and church. She volunteered for 8 years at the Temple Free Clinic and made Christmas ornaments every year for all the children in her Church family. She was a faithful member of Christ Episcopal Church in Temple. Pat was preceded in death by her parents, two children: Thomas Vernon Kidder and Mary Kidder, brothers: Hubert Cole, Raymond Cole and Kenneth Cole, sister: Alice Rowe, and Granddaughter: Nicole Bouleris. She is survived by her son, Tim Sr. & Mary Rice Kidder of Moody; daughters Patricia Ann Kidder of Fort Worth, and Donna Susanne Kidder of Raleigh, N.C., a brother Reginald Cole of Colesville, N.Y., sisters Audrey Kissinger of Houston, Adelaide McCormick of Auburn, N.Y. and Kathleen Kaminsky of Binghamton, N.Y., 10 Grandchildren (Patrick Truax, Bennie Harn Jr., Thomas Harn, Tricia Dunston, Melissa Cole, Rebecca Kidder, Roberta Kidder- Longbotham, Elizabeth Gutierrez, Timothy Kidder Jr. and Matthew Bouleris) and 9 Great- Grandchildren (Jayme Kidder, Kimberlyn Longbotham, Alexsus Truax, Sabre Dunston, Isabelle Gutierrez, Braden Gutierrez, Caedmon Bouleris and Savannah Bouleris) and godchild, Thomas Pechal. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Building Fund at Christ Episcopal Church of Temple, 300 North Main, or Temple College foundation for the Mary Alice Marshall Performing Arts Center renovations at 19 North Main.
