Memorial services for Patti Ruth Stewart Thomson, 86, of Gatesville will be held at a later date. Mrs. Thomson died Monday at her residence. Mrs. Thomson was born May 18, 1927 in Waco to Emett Lee Stewart and Maggie Lee Curry Stewart. She lived in Gatesville most of her life. She graduated from Gatesville High School in 1944 and attended the University of Texas. She married Tom Post Thomson, Sr., January 30, 1949. He preceded her in death. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Gatesville. She had worked as secretary for First United Methodist Church in Gatesville, was a piano teacher, a homemaker and worked at the U.S. Post Office in Gatesville. Mrs. Thomson was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Carolyn Stewart. Survivors include one daughter Carolyn Thomson Carpenter of Gatesville; one son Tom Post Thomson, Jr. of Fort Worth; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
