Pauline W. (Polly) Childers

Pauline W. (Polly) Childers, age 79 of Temple, passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at her residence. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, August 7th at Immanuel Lutheran Church with Rev. Dana Wilhelmsen and Rev. Grayson Albers officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 PM Thursday, August 6th at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home. Mrs. Childers was born May 16, 1936 in Milam County to Earl O. and Lottie Fritz. She married Edgar L. Childers on August 25, 1956 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Temple. She was baptized at East Highway Baptist Church in 1949 and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church on May 13, 1964. She worked as a bookkeeper at Temple National Bank and Bell County Tax Office. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Earlene Johnson. Survivors include her husband, Edgar L. Childers of Temple, one son, Randall C. Childers and wife, Janet of Taylor and one granddaughter, Amanda Childers of Converse. Also surviving is one sister, Gladyne Hluchan and husband, Norman of Temple. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church, 2109 W.
