

REX RANDALL BAUGH A memorial service for Rex Randall Baugh, 93, of Temple will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 27th, at Western Hills Church of Christ with Ministers Joe Baisden and Scott Meyer officiating. Mr. Baugh died late Saturday, April 24th, in a Temple assisted living center. He was born near Rogers on April 20, 1917, to Edward Lovic Baugh and Maude Lewallen Baugh. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Marguarite Baugh and two brothers, E.L. Baugh, Jr. and Wayne S. Baugh. He married Mona Delyte Hargrove in Heidenheimer on August 6, 1938. He attended Heidenheimer schools, Temple High School, and Texas A & M, and he remained an Aggie all of his life. He taught school in Barclay, Content, and Rogers. He served 30 years with the USDA Soil Conservation Service, and he retired from the Corps of Engineers at Ft. Hood in 1975. In past years he had served as a deacon and an elder at Northside Church of Christ, and currently he was a member of Western Hills Church of Christ. He was an avid outdoorsman, fisherman, hunter, master domino player, and conservationist during his entire life. Survivors include his wife of almost 72 years, Delyte Hargrove Baugh of Temple; son, Howell Rex Baugh and wife Malissa Starnes Baugh; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Bradley Rex Baugh and wife Dana Carroll Baugh, Beth Baugh and William Rex Baugh; Brant Baugh and wife Melinda McRae Baugh, Trine Baugh; and Nathalie Baugh McDonald and husband Kevin McDonald, Maycie McDonald and Coleman McDonald; daughter, Cleigh Nel Baugh Dalton and husband Joe Dalton; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Carter Baugh Dalton and wife Kate Petty Dalton, Mackenzie Dalton and John Dalton; and Leigh Delyte Dalton; and daughter, Judy Karen Baugh Wells and husband Steve Wells; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Cayce Wells McCormick and husband Charlie McCormick, Emma McCormick and Adelaide McCormick; Ran Kirkland Wells; and Dansby Wells Erwin and husband Jonathan Erwin, Benjamin Erwin and Clara Erwin. Private family burial will be at Greathouse Cemetery. There will be a 11:00 a.m. memorial service at Western Hills Church of Christ followed by a visitation in the Family Life Center. Scanio-Harper Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements where Mr. Baugh will lie in state. In lieu of flowers, the family requests any memorial tributes be made in Mr. Baugh's name to Arms of Hope (Boles Children's Home and Medina Children's Home), 21300 State Hwy 16N, Medina, Texas 78055.
