
Richard E. Ritter, age 74, of Temple died Friday, May 5, 2006 at a local hospital. No services are planned. Mr. Ritter was born June 25, 1931, in Thunder Hawk, South Dakota to Earl and Alma Brown Ritter. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army. He married Myra Gorden on August 30, 1969 in Lynwood, California. He was a retired iron worker retiring in 1986 after 45 years. He was a former longtime resident of Reno, Nevada and had lived in Temple for the past six years. Memberships include the Iron Workers Union Local 118, Masons, Shrine, Order of the Eastern Star and White Shrine. He was a past county commissioner in Washoe County, Nevada. Survivors include his wife, Myra, daughters, Merrilee Ritter of Temple, Allison Adams of Riverton, Wyoming, sons, Randy Ritter of Temple, Paul Ritter of Sheridon, Wyoming, sisters, Janice Skaggs of Long Beach, California, Jacque Bauer of Elgin, North Dakota, brothers, Llewellis Ritter of Roseville, California, Robert McKittrick of Long Beach, California and Leland Ritter of Georgetown, Texas. Also surviving are six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Phyllis Fredrick.
