Rieta Fay Hess

Rieta Fay (Doerr) Hess, age 76 of Temple, passed away Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at a local care center. Rieta was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on November 14, 1944 to the late Eloida Fay Curtis Doerr and Walter T. Doerr. She attended schools in Corpus Christi and graduated from Roy Miller High School in 1964. Rieta served her country in the U.S. Army as a telegraph operator. She was honorably discharged on April 12, 1976 after 3+ years of service.

Survivors include her brother, Kenneth Doerr of Arizona.

No services are planned at this time. Inurnment will take place at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen at a later date.
