
Robert "Mr. Bob" Worley, age 80, of Temple died Saturday, December 15, 2007 at his residence. The family will receive visitors at Mr. Worley's home on Tuesday, December 18, from 4:00 until 8:00 PM. Mr. Worley was born December 8, 1927 in West Monroe, Louisiana to E. A. "Bud" Worley and Grace Nancy (Hart) Worley. He was a veteran of World War II in the U. S. Navy attaining the rank of Seaman First Class. He was employed at J. C. Penney Company from 1946 until his retirement in 1983. After retirement he worked as a bus driver for Chapel Hill ISD and Temple ISD for six years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Temple. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Lena Belle Kennedy, Beth Estelle Yates, Janet Dispenza, Ruby Mae Biggers, Gladys Ray Worley and Rosemary Dispenza. Survivors include two daughters, Penny Worley of Temple, Pat Auten and husband, Phil of Lott, one son, Robin Worley and wife, Vicky of Carrollton and the mother of their children, Betty Worley of Temple. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Phil Auten III of Atlanta, Georgia, Tim Worley and wife, Jana of Tyler, LeAnn Worley of Carrollton, three great-granddaughters, Adrienne, Alyssa and Ashley Auten and one brother, Edward A. Worley of Natchez, Mississippi. Memorial contributions may be made to Ralph Wilson Youth Club or charity of choice.
