So many feelings, and memories. I don't really have the words. Remember when I tried to "save" you? 🙄😆 I've always loved you.

I will try to put to words what Rob meant to me, but I’m going to fall short because there is too much to write.  Meeting in the military in Korea sharing the military experience and me looking up to him as he showed me his amazing ship and job duties.  Rob jumping over fences to get me and Leana into a pool or our basketball wars during our California summer vacations.   Not being able to move after burning ourselves to beet red suntanning on Malibu beach.   Playing endless matches of tennis with Grandma and Grandpa Jones.   Sneaking in a horror movie like Friday the 13th (Part 3) while Dad was gone to work and trying not to show Rob I was “too” scared.  Rob battling Ethan in Halo teaching him how to kill all the aliens by getting the best “headshot.” Seeing him with Lisa and seeing him love her and her family like his own.  Rob investing in my daughter Nevaeh providing career advice for her college Psychology path during the last time she talked to him showing how truly gifted as a counselor and mentor he was. Rob showing his love language of gifts when he would get me an amazing watch, custom Yoda cufflinks to match his Boba Fett set at his wedding, or a personalized souvenir from his travels of the world.  His joy in his chess sets, watch collection, and hot wheels car Porche collection made him seem to “glow” with pride.  I could remember communicating funny text movie lines (Ghostbusters 1 and 2 were our favorites) that would make me just feel… better.  Rob showed me work ethic and was always the oldest brother, blazing a trail for his us to chase (I don’t think we will ever catch him with his many accomplishments… and… well… funny shenanigans).  Rob’s true passion could be seen in his ferocious love as a father, husband, brother, uncle, psychologist, and friend.  He saved my life, and I will always be thankful for the unconditional passionate love he gave so freely.  Thanks for watching out for my kids and me in heaven and your wings look beautiful brother.  

Well Rob, I'll always remember you as Robbie. You were a great cousin an had a true heart of gold 💛.  You'll truly be missed. Heaven has gained another angel 😇.

Drove 12 hours straight through the night to make sure I made it for his graduation. Pretty sure my smile was just as big. I met him when he was 16 and knew then he was someone special. He became my brother, the brother I chose. 

Robert was an extremely valued member of our Social Work Team at the Central Texas VA Medical Center.  His selfless service to his fellow Veterans in need was truly an example to all of us.  He will be greatly missed by his colleagues and most importantly all the Veterans he was able to help during the lowest points of their lives.  He exuded the values of being a Social Worker and advocate for all the Veterans he served and all of his peers.  He will be greatly missed by all of us here at the Central Texas VA and all those Veterans he touched.

Robert was an amazing person. He was always so positive and upbeat. 
When I think back on my time with Rob and smile I look at what I learned from him about life, and that is that it is all about making connections. Rob was a connector, he always made people smile and feel like he was genuinely present with them. 
I will never forget all of the love and truth he spoke into my life. 
To all of those he  left behind and especially his family I am so sorry, he had so much left to give us.
