Memorial services for Robert Eugene Lynch, 86, of Temple will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday February 17. 2018 at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Robbins officiating. Mr. Lynch died Tuesday in a Temple care center.Mr. Lynch was born in Waco February 17, 1931 to Walter Lynch and Reba Francis Lynch. He was a lifelong Methodist and much of his childhood was spent in Waco at the Methodist Children's Home, He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean conflict. He married Jean Harvey Holmes in 1985. She preceded him in death February 13, 2013. He lived in Lewisville, Flower Mound and Denton before moving to Temple in 2008. He worked as a machinist and worked for General Dynamics.Mr. Lynch was preceded in death by his mother and father and a brother Charles Lynch.Survivors include his stepson Dr. Gary Holmes and his wife Patty of Temple; his sister Anita Evans of Temple; sister-in-law Sharon Lynch of Arlington and several nieces and nephews.
