
Graveside services for Robert William Carmichael, 66, of Temple will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at Oenaville Cemetery with Dr. Rodney Kruse officiating. Mr. Carmichael died Friday December 9, 2005 at his residence. He was bon in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to William and Ethel Carmichael. He served in the U.S.Army, having been stationed in the United States including Hawaii, Germany and served two tours in Vietnam. During his service he received the Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, PVN Campaign Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal and 4 O/S Bars. He moved to the Temple Belton area twenty five years ago and worked in Transportation at Scott & White Hospital and had been manager of Midway Junction Restaurant. He was a member of American Legion Post 133. He married Geneva Scott June 21, 1993. He was preceeded in death by one son Robert Carmichael Jr and by an aunt Hannah Willy. Survivors include his wife Geneva Carmichael of Temple; four stepdaughters Tina DeForest of Moody, Ronda Nunnelly of Cleveland, Texas, Jennifer Rodgers of Splendora and Shelia Hardin of Belton and eight grandchildren, an uncle Harry Willy of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and an aunt Mary Kuberk of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
