

Robert Marvin Workman passed away on November 24, 2025, at the William R. Courtney State Veterans Home in Temple, Texas. He was born on February 15, 1945, in Cook County, Illinois. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Robert was born to Gerrit and Anna (Weidenaar) Workman, both of whom preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Julie Workman.
Robert is survived by his two daughters, Christina Workman and Alexis Workman. He is also survived by his siblings: Genevieve and Reverend Russell Dykehouse; Fred and Carol (Probasco) Workman; Anna Mae and Dr. Dennis Fillmore; and Betsy and Michael Aeschliman.
A proud United States Army veteran, Robert continued his life of service by pastoring several congregations throughout Illinois, Ohio, and Texas. Even after stepping back from full-time ministry, he devoted time to volunteering for various charities until his health declined. He was married to Kimara (Ten Eyck) Workman.
Robert was a man of many talents and quiet passions. He enjoyed needlework, cooking, and woodworking, finding joy in creating and sharing his work with others. He had a lifelong love of horses, dogs, and farm animals, and felt most at peace in their company.
Robert will be remembered for his deep faith, his generosity, and the gentle, thoughtful spirit he brought to every part of his life. His legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
