Ronald Schleede

Ronald Walter Schleede age 81 of Troy, TX passed away at Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Temple, TX March 19, 2020. Ronald was born August 31, 1938 to Raymond and Lafaun Maedgen Schleede in Temple, TX. He married Juanita Payne Schleede on August 2, 1963. He was a graduate of Troy High School, served in the U.S. Army, was an EKG technician at the Temple V.A. and served as a U. S. Postal Carrier before retirement. Ronald was a proud member of the NRA. He had also participated on the Pistol Team while in the service and was a successful/avid hunter and story-teller.

Ronald was preceded in death by an older brother Raymond Darryl (infant), both his parents, his youngest sister Betty Evelyn Schleede Machuca and a grandson Corbin Chase Schleede. He is survived by his loving wife Juanita, 2 sons Steve & wife Cynthia Schleede of Temple, Eric Schleede of Troy, only daughter Ronell & husband Billy Burke of Rockport, TX. Sisters Linda & husband Gary Blodgett of San Antonio, TX, Laura & husband Dave Huff of Maryville, TN. Five grandchildren Jessica & husband Bryant Bulls, Nathan Schleede, Taylor, Erica & Leroy Burke and a great grandson Collin Bulls.

Ronald was always revered as the “Favorite Uncle” by all of his nieces and nephews. Ronald will lie in state from the evening of Sunday, March 22, 2020 through Monday, March 23, 2020 at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home 3110 Airport Rd. Temple, Texas 76504.
