
Funeral services for Rose Lee Kuhn Dillard, 81, of Sarasota, Florida will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Jim Deaconson officiating. Further services will be at Watson-Giddens Funeral Home in Ellaville, Ga. Burial will follow at Andersonville National Cemetery, in Andersonville, Georgia. Mrs. Dillard died Tuesday at Scott & White Hospital in Temple, Texas after suffering a massive stroke Monday morning. Mrs. Dillard was born in Rosebud to Frank Kuhn and Rosa Schuetze Kuhn. She graduated from Rosebud High School. She married Hilyard B. Dillard Oct. 2, 1946. He preceded her in death after 50 years of marriage. Mrs. Dillard lived in Rosebud until 1964 at which time the family moved to Atlanta, Georgia. In 1998 she moved to Sarasota, Florida. She had been a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church and the American Legion Auxiliary in Rosebud. She worked in Data Processing at Firemens Fund Insurance Company in Atlanta until her retirement. Survivors include one daughter Nancy Dillard, Captain, U.S. Navy, of Tampa, Florida, Niece Suzanne Strayer of Fort Worth, Great Niece Michelle Staben of Fort Worth, Nephew Larry Dillard of Ellaville, Georgia, sister-in-law Barbara Justice of Chattanooga, Tn., nephew Steve Justice of Trenton, Ga., Niece Candi Jeffery of Collierville, Tn., nephew-in-law Sammy Lee of Andersonville, Ga., numerous cousins including Clarence Schuetze, Robert Lee Schuetze, Shirley Dornhoefer, Verena Cravatt, Gladys Kurtz, Alice Gerngross, Harry Chollett, Dora Chollett, Alma Miller, LaVerne Wright, Jernice Falk, Maxine Kalkbrenner, Roy Gene Schuetze, Willis Kuhn and numerous other family and friends, including "Adopted Family" Nancy and Bill Sunday and Terrell and Carol Hart. In lieu of flowers, her family requests for you to call a loved one and invite them to lunch. Enjoy the living and leave this world with no regrets.
