Ruby Louise Anderson, age 79, of Academy died Monday, July 28, 2008 in Academy. Services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, July 30 at Bellwood Memorial Park with Mr. Bill Hayes officiating. Entombment will follow in Bellwood Memorial Park Mausoleum. Ms. Anderson was born July 10, 1929 in Troy to Carl Ernest and Annice Naomi (Rose) Anderson. She had been a longtime resident of Austin where she was employed as a manager at Leon's Department Store. She retired in 1998 and moved to Academy. She was a Methodist. She was preceded in death by her longtime companion, Jake "Buddy" Sandgarten. Survivors include two sisters, Corrine Clark of Academy, Frieda Weaver of Temple, two brothers, Vernon Rose of Temple and William Anderson of Zabcikville and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Odyssey Healthcare of Temple.
