Ruby Morris, age 99 of Temple, died Monday, May 25, 2015 at a Waco care center. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, May 29, 2015 at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home with Loyd Hall officiating. The family will receive visitors from 12-1:00 PM Friday, May 29, 2015 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at 3:00 PM at Oakwood Cemetery in Waco. Mrs. Morris was born on April 13, 1916 in Brownwood, Texas to the late George H. Wood and Minnie Magness Wood. She married Jack Morris on August 25, 1962 and he preceded her in death on November 10, 2006. Ruby retired from Piggly Wiggly in 1969. She was a member of Avenue T. Church of Christ in Temple. Ruby was the most loving and caring mother and grandmother and was truly a sweetheart. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Morris and by a daughter, Glenda Hestilow Dugan. Survivors include a daughter, Betty Havranek and husband Bobby; grandchildren, Billy, Brad and Jeff Tanner, Brent Dugan, Carrie Dugan and Cindy Walker; eight great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.
