

Tyler Hoeft, age 14 of Castaic, California, died Friday, March 20, 2015 at McLane Children's Scott and White Hospital. A Celebration of Life was held at 12:00pm on Wednesday April 1, 2015 at Glen Helen Raceway, 18585 Verdemont Ranch Road, San Bernardino, California. Tyler Hoeft was born in Panorama City, California on July 14, 2000 and passed away after suffering injuries from an accident at The Freestone Amateur National races near Wortham, Texas. His parents, brother, family and friends were by his side. Tyler was preceded in death by his Grandfather, "Big Al" Hoeft. Tyler is survived by his parents, Darrin and Michelle Hoeft and brother, Justin Hoeft, all of Castaic, California; grandparents, Wayne and Kaydell Sherman; grandmother, Gail Price and grandfather Blair Swallow, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Tyler was a caring person with an independent spirit. He loved his family and was passionate about riding his motorcycle. Although his life was short, it was very full of fun times, loving family and countless friends. The Hoeft family would like to say thank you to the wonderful staff at McLane Children's Scott and White Hospital in Temple, TX. Also a special thank you to the organ donation coordinator, Tina Walden, whose kindness and empathy were very appreciated and who helped them to ensure that Tyler's death was not in vain.
