Vera Lynnette Brown

Funeral services for Vera Lynette Brown, 86, of Temple, formerly of Rogers, will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home with Rev. Bert DeBord officiating. Burial will be in Reeds Lake Cemetery. Mrs. Brown died Sunday in a Temple hospital. Mrs. Brown was born in Buckholts to Kirby Shelton and Martha Barree Shelton. She attended school in Friendship and Sharp and graduated from Holland High School. She married Felix Brown July 30, 1950. He preceded her in death in 2003. She lived in Leedale and Rogers most of her life and was a homemaker. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Rogers. She was also preceded in death by one brother Prince Shelton. Survivors include two daughters Anita Lantrip and her husband George of New Braunfels and Jeanette Swaim and her husband Jimmy of Abilene; one sister Lucy Bunte of Holland; three step grandchildren Robert Lantrip, Kimberly Stinnett and Jamie Sudberry,five step great grand children Sierra Sudberry, Jaleigh Sudberry, Logan Stinnett, Morgan Lantrip and Andrew Lantrip; nephew Wade Bunte; niece Konnie Johnson and great nephew David Embry. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church of Rogers. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Tuesday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home.
