Vickee Marie James

and went to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on January 7, 2020.

Vickee grew up in Pampa, TX where she attended public school

through the 10th grade...sophomore year, then moved to Borger, TX

where she finished the 11th and 12th grades...graduating in

May, 1968. After high school graduation, she attended

Wayland Baptist University, Plainview, TX for 1 year then

transferred to West Texas State University, Canyon, TX

receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1972.

On August 1, 1970, Vickee Grant and John James were united in married

at Calvary Baptist Church, Borger, TX. They were married for

49 years, 6 months.

Vickee spent 35 years teaching in Amarillo, Bushland, Temple, and

Killeen all in Texas. Most of that time was teaching Talented and Gifted

students in the 1st grade.

Vickee’s passing leaves behind her husband John, a daughter

Heather Bouvier, husband Jason of Temple; 4 grandchildren,

Kristin Bouvier Baladez, husband Braden of Rapids City, SD,

Connor, Kendall, and Clay Bouvier all of Temple TX; 2 brothers,

Bob Grant, wife Pam of Sherman, TX; Phil Grant, wife LaLinda

of Pampa, TX; 1 sister, Donna Driggers of Temple TX.

Also leaving behind many nieces and nephews, great nieces, great nephews,

and great-great nieces. Also many cousins.

Proceeding her in death … Mother, Dorothy Howard Grant Driggers;

Father, John Robert Grant; a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Friends made in the past 34 years will miss Vickee’s presence but

will cherish the memories of a good friend!
