

William Ewing Vaughan went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 12, 2011 after 83 years of a wonderful and joyful life. Bill was born on January 11, 1928 to Herbert Lee Vaughan and Vera Louise Ewing Vaughan in Dallas. He married Mary Helen Buster on October 19, 1946 in El Paso. He became a farmer, a Sinclair Service Station owner, operated a well water hauling service, Justice of the Peace, President of Windsor Investment (a real estate company), a partner in Vaughan Pagel (a commercial real estate company), President of Southlander Trust and a partner in Vaughan Ranch (a cattle company). He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Herbert (Bert) Vaughan and a son, Edward Lawrence Vaughan. He is survived by his wife, Helen Vaughan, three daughters, Barbara Campbell and husband, Allen, Kathy Brisbin and husband, Bob and Valerie Nance and husband, James, one brother, Richard Vaughan; six grandchildren, Kelli Frisch, Heather Rhodes, Niki Howton, Robby Brisbin, Sam Nance and Sadie Nance and six great-grandchildren, Haley Howton, Jordyn Frisch, Anderson Rhodes, Hunter Howton, Makenna Frisch and Ainsley Rhodes. A celebration of life service will be held at Western Hills Church of Christ at 4:00 P. M. on Wednesday, June 15. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00pm on Tuesday, June 14 at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home.
