William Preston Heaton

Private services will be held at Flint Creek Cemetery.

Mr. Heaton was born March 23, 1932 in Lexington, Kentucky to Marion Elmer Heaton and Grace Wynn Heaton.  He graduated from High School in Lexington.  He married Jo Ann Jordan August 24, 1956 and moved to the Bell County and Coryell County areas in 1964.  He was an Electrical Lineman having worked for the W. K. Jennings Co. and for the Fluor Company.  He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and he was a member of First Christian Church in Temple. 

Mr. Heaton was preceded in death by his daughter, Pamela Coleman Jan. 27, 2020 and by two brothers C.E. Heaton and M.W. Heaton.

Survivors include his wife Jo Ann Heaton of Gatesville; one grandson James Coleman and his wife Kimberly of Brady; one granddaughter Danielle Bowman and her husband Gary of Tomball; four great grandchildren Lane Coleman, Colton Coleman, Taylor Bowman and Tawny Bowman and one great great grandchild Mavis Bowman-Miller and one brother George Heaton of Lexington, Kentucky

Memorials may be made to Baylor Scott & White Hospice.    

Viewing will be from 3:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. Monday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home.
