

Funeral services for William V. (Bill) Schiller Jr., 75, of Heidenheimer will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday at First Assembly of God in Belton with Rev. Matt Thrasher and Gale Lawler officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Cameron. Mr. Schiller died Tuesday at his residence. Mr. Schiller was born December 18, 1934 in Buckholts to William Vincent Schiller, Sr. and Marie Spurek Schiller. He lived in the Heidenheimer area most of his life. He served in the Army and the National Guard for 32 years and retired as a SFC E-7 of the 36th Infantry Division Dec. 18, 1994. He also worked as a diesel mechanic for Merit Distribution for 17 years and he was a farmer. He was a member of Cen Tex Sportsman Club and did volunteer work for The Rose Garden and made missionary trips to Mexico. He married Treva Tipton Sept. 28, 1958. She preceded him in death Jan. 26, 1997. He then married Carolyne Utley Leija Jan 27, 2008. He was a member of First Assembly of God in Belton. Survivors include his wife Carolyne Leija Schiller of Belton; one son Vincent Schiller of Cedar Park; two daughters Jessyca Schiller of Heidenheimer and Jennifer Schiller Oehler of Kerrville; two brothers Gene Schiller of Oscar and Franklin Conner of Heidenheimer; one sister Rose Marie Ferguson of Temple; and seven grandchildren Sebastian Hix, Nathanyel Hay, Gabryella Hay,Brooke Schiller, Hayden Oehler, Katelyhn Oehler and Colby Oehler. Friday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home.
