Ann Marie Thompson age 62 of Toms River died Saturday December 26th at St. Barnabas Medical Center, Livingston. She had a lifetime of helping others at various nursing facilities in Ocean County. She was a former EMT in Hopatcong. Ann Marie was a member of the Gold Star Moms. She was raised in Livingston and lived in Hopatcong before moving to Toms River 20 years ago. She was predeceased by her son Marine Sgt. Mark Paul Thompson and her parents Joseph and Kathleen Hemberger. Surviving is her son John Thompson of Toms River, 3 grandchildren Kiara, Kathleen and Mark Thompson, her sister Marie Jones of Villas, NJ and her nephew Christopher Jones. Visiting will be Wednesday from 4-7 pm with a funeral service at 6:30 pm at the Quinn Hopping Funeral Home 26 Mule Rd. Toms River. Cremation will be private.
